LONG ROUTE SAMURAI
Eroica Japan's representative long route, 'Samurai,' is the most magnificent heroic challenge ride within Japan. Passing through landmarks such as the Amagi Tunnel, the international port town of Shimoda, the rugged coastline of Irozaki with its Ishitobi Shrine, and the historic streets of Matsuzaki, this route culminates in the awe-inspiring West Izu Skyline and the sacred Mount Fuji. The cultural and geological heritage of the Izu Peninsula, along with the spectacular vistas of the Pacific Ocean, weave a spectacle that will resonate with challengers like an epic saga.
True to its name, the Samurai route, with a total distance of 182 km and an elevation gain of 4000 m, offers a substantial course reminiscent of L'eroica, despite having relatively few gravel sections.
